2013 marks the 10th anniversary of the Court Appointed Special Advocates' "Suitcases for Kids" of Troup and Heard County program. This program provides suitcases, tote bags, and book bags for foster children. A national community service project that was started in 1995 by then 10 year old Aubyn Burnside, the program has collected over 1,000 pieces of luggage that have been donated and distributed to children, adults, and various agencies in Troup, Heard, Meriwether, Fulton, and Carroll counties.
Help us provide suitcases, tote bags, and book bags for our foster children so that they have something to carry their belongings in if they have to change placements, return home, or become adopted.
If you would like to donate a bag or you have a group that would like to organize a collection of bags, please contact:

at 706-298-3635 or 706-845-8243.
Many children have to carry their belongings in black trash bags when displaced from their home.
