Did you know that in GA.....
Every day, 33 children are the victims of confirmed abuse or neglect.
200 incidents of child abuse and neglect are reported daily.
39 children died from abuse and neglect in 2013.
On any given day, about 8,000 children are in the foster care system.
17,148 children came through the foster care system during state fiscal year 2015.
CASA of Troup and Heard Counties advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children within the court system. Our belief is that every child is entitled to a safe, stable and permanent home. We provide screened, trained, and supervised volunteers who speak for the needs of these children, one child at a time. CASA works in collaboration with key agencies, a guardian ad litem and community resources to achieve the child's best interests.
CASA ensures that deprived children have a choice in court.
Training classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday 6pm-8pm from April 24th-May 24th 2018
